The AA Highly Recommended Hillston ironstone Cottage was built in the late 1800’s. Previous generations have used the cottage to house managers and governesses and 60 years ago it was even used as a school, which all the neighboring farms’ children attended.
The cottage has 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with bath and shower and separate toilet. All 6 beds have woolen duvets, electric blankets and luxurious bath sheets. There is an open plan kitchen, dining room and family lounge with under-floor heating. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and breakfast counter. We offer the following meals on request:
Relax on the front veranda and watch the sun set with the guinea fowl and hadeda signaling the end of the day or have breakfast at the wooden combo set. Enjoy a braai in our Boer War Blockhouse lapa or outside in the garden (first bag of wood provided).
