Hillston Farm
Hillston Farm is situated halfway between Middelburg and Steynsburg in the Eastern Cape on the R56.
It is also ideally situated halfway between Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth and East London as well as halfway between Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg.
There is an Airstrip at Middelburg.
For guests traveling from Durban to Cape Town or vice versa we would recommend travelling on the R56 via Middelburg as it goes all the way to Pietermaritzburg.
This scenic route takes one along the southern part of the Drakensberg, with Xhosa huts along the route. Stunning scenery!

Hopewell Farmstay
Hopewell Farmstay is situated 32,1km from Steynsburg and 84km from Middelburg along the R56.
From Steynsburg follow the R56 for 17,8km and turn right at the sign, “Hopewell, Bulhoek, Teebus.”
Continue for 300m and then turn left following the signage for the “Orange Fish Tunnel. Continue straight past the Orange Fish Tunnel and Orangeville.
Turn right at the sign, “Schilderkranz, Spring Valley, Karooveld
Bonsmara” and continue along this road for 12km before turning left onto the farm.
